Map of Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a small country on the bridge between North and South America. It is a peaceful country where you can still experience pure nature. Therefore 25 % of its territory has been declared under protection to stop the exploitation of its natural areas.

It’s bordering both the Caribbean Sea and the North Pacific Ocean, between Nicaragua and Panama.

The country is divided by a backbone of volcanoes and mountains. It is part of the Pacific "Rim of Fire" and has seven of the isthmus's 42 active volcanoes plus dozens of dormant or extinct cones.

There are black and white sanded beaches on the Carribean coast and Pacific side as well as rain and cloud forests with plenty of exotic flora and fauna which will make you have a ever memorable vacation!!

The capital San Jose is the cultural and economical heart of Costa Rica. Furthermore it´s the perfect place to study Spanish due to its convenient location in the center of Costa Rica. All attractive places can be easily reached by public bus. Enjoy the entertainment, culture and great restaurants in both downtown and greater San Jose! San Jose will surely provide you with all the necessary components of the best Spanish immersion stay possible!
